Even though your student will become more independent and your role as a parent will change from being a manager to a coach and supporter, that role is still an important one to play. We welcome your partnership with us in inspiring your student’s success at Tulane. There are many specific ways you can be involved at Tulane, including several you can do in your own hometown.
One of the best career resources that we can offer students is access to the vast network of successful Tulane alumni and parents. You can participate in a number of ways, from serving as a mentor to a student interested in your industry, to offering an internship or externship at your company, to participating in one of our career programs on campus or in your city. To find out more, please contact Byron Kantrow, Director, Career Wave Programming, New York Regional Development Office, Undergraduate Employer Relations, email@example.com.
Since parents are part of the Tulane family, we would love to see you at local events, which range from faculty lectures to crawfish boils! There are over 60 active Tulane Clubs that span across the globe and each year over 15,000 Tulanians participate in a wide range of social, service, recreational and networking events. Find out what's happening in your city here.
Throughout the year, we often have many opportunities for hosting events – from small gatherings for new parents or prospective families to larger receptions featuring academic administrators. If you are interested in hosting an event for other Tulane parents in your area, contact George Harley, Executive Director of Development, Undergraduate Programs, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission welcomes parents of current and graduated Tulane students to participate in the Alumni and Parent Admission Committee (APAC). If you are interested in receiving information about admission events in your area, please complete the APAC registration form at admission.tulane.edu/for-alumni or contact Valerie Calenda, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission, at email@example.com or Lindsey Hoyt, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Once you register, we will reach out to you at the beginning of each semester with more information about events for prospective students scheduled in your area.
The annual gifts of parents create extraordinary opportunities for undergraduate students. You can make an immediate impact on your student’s Tulane experience, from career services to study abroad programs. Your support plays a meaningful role in providing your student with a college experience available only at Tulane, only in New Orleans. To make a gift, visit giving.tulane.edu/parents or call 888-265-7576.
